The unknown value of data

Although it is widely agreed that “you can't manage what you don’t measure”, a broadly accepted method for determining the economic value of data assets is still missing. To close this gap, a work report presents two methods for assessing the value of data. 


Trends in corporate data management

During the 51st CC CDQ workshop in Gottlieben (Switzerland), Tobias Pentek presented some interesting preliminary findings from the CDQ Trend Study. The data was collected from 23 managers from 19 companies from different industries, who filled out a questionnaire comprising 165 questions and took part in a 60- to 120-minute interview.

On October 14th and 15th, over 40 data enthusiasts met in Gottlieben (Switzerland) at a historic hotel, located directly on the banks of Lake Constance, to hold the 51st CC CDQ workshop.
